About PorchLight
Our mission is to bring together essential services for victims, survivors and their children to create a positive pathway forward, and to foster health and public safety.

As PorchLight enters its fifth year of serving the community, our mission is being
realized at an increasing scale. Each year, more survivors turn to PorchLight seeking
safety, stability, and coordinated support after experiencing trauma and abuse. This
steady growth in utilization reflects both increased community awareness and a
critical need for a safe, trusted place where survivors can access essential services
without navigating complex systems alone.
PorchLight’s growth has outpaced traditional funding sources, underscoring the
indispensable role the Center plays in our community. Survivors come to PorchLight
at vulnerable moments in their lives, often facing urgent needs related to safety,
housing, mental health, and legal advocacy. At PorchLight, survivors are not alone.
Each Guest is supported by a dedicated Navigator who helps connect them to
critical services such as therapy, legal support, housing assistance, advocacy, and
other essential resources. This coordinated, survivor-centered approach reduces
barriers, minimizes retraumatization, and helps individuals and families move
forward on a path toward healing and independence.
PorchLight represents an innovative and effective approach to combating violence
by bringing multiple services together under one roof, creating a seamless and
supportive experience for survivors and their children. The growing demand for
these services demonstrates both their impact and their necessity. At the same time,
significant reductions in federal support have increased PorchLight’s reliance on
community-based funding to sustain and expand this lifesaving work. Learn more.
