Summer should be a season of light, and with your help, it can be. When schools close and routines shift, safe spaces disappear, and rates of domestic violence and crisis calls often rise. In fact, reports show domestic violence can increase by up to 12% in summer months, and support hotlines see a spike in calls.
That’s why we’ve launched Summer of Hope, a 5-week effort to raise $10,000 to make sure no survivor has to face this season alone.
☀️ WE CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU ☀️
At PorchLight, we’re proud to provide free, trauma-informed support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, crimes against children, human trafficking and other forms of violence, but we can’t do it without community support. As a nonprofit, we rely on donations from individuals to keep our services running, and the lights on. One of PorchLight's biggest goals this year is to grow our individual and monthly giving, because consistent support means consistent care, hope and healing for survivors.
🌼 YOUR VOICE MATTERS 🌼
When you donate, we’ll invite you to share your “why” your personal reason for supporting PorchLight. These messages will be turned into a powerful art display in our building this summer, serving as daily reminders to guests, staff, and survivors that hope lives here.
Together, let’s bring light, safety, and healing to those who need it most.
